Pantera's Bio

“I started pole dancing as an exotic dancer in 1999. Since day one I took to the pole like a monkey, figuring out what we now call “transitions” and “tricks” on my own. My very first year as a stripper, I went to the National P’Olympics competition and failed miserably. I did however get to meet and pole play with 30 of the best pole dancers in the country. It was the most amazing pole experience I have had in the last decade and I still look fondly on those women for their insight and contribution to making me who I am today. The following year I took 3rd and finally my third year I won the National Pole Antics competition in Las Vegas, NV. Continuing my dancing career I won titles across the country, performed feature acts while being a commercial diver and made the first advanced instructional pole dancing DVD, Pole Tricks 101. Most recently, I’ve become the first international instructor visiting places such as Australia, England, Costa Rica, Japan, Texas, Germany and won the 1st ever Best Pole Tricks Award at the Miss Pole Dance World Sport and Fitness competition in Jamaica.

I have always been a fitness freak. Playing sports, participating in gymnastics early on and weight lifting in high school and still remain in the best shape of my life. I've been a personal trainer, nutrition counselor and have done a great deal of research on the human body, its functions and boundaries for all shapes and sizes. Safety is one of my biggest concerns when teaching. I take a great deal of care in making sure my programs have proper progressions that students can still comfortably play with months, or even years after I see them. Most people find my classes challenging and inspiring, learning how to use the muscles they already have instead of inertia or momentum, gaining greater strength, flexibility and proper form. These few examples are some details that have made my methods and instruction one of the most recognized in the world.”
