Alexis has been a member of Tribal Rhythm Dance Studio since 2004. She was first introduced by a family member and has continued to nurture her love for bellydancing. What first attracted her to this art form was the pure grace and femininity of the dance itself and that bellydancing was uniquely different from anything else she’d ever tried. As she began to learn and develop her own style under the professional instruction of Cheryl, she began to fully embrace all aspects of the dance and truly enjoy it. Since this time, she has become a senior level dancer who has assisted in creating choreography for large-scale Tribal Rhythm productions, become a cultured dancer by traveling and taking workshops from other professional dancers, serves as a regular instructor for the Tribal Rhythm workout class and substitutes as needed to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced level classes at the studio. She has also been well versed in different dance styles such as Gothic and American Tribal and Egyptian Cabaret. Her experience as both a student and an instructor serves as a springboard for learning and growth opportunities for her students. Alexis continues to challenge herself by learning the difficult and conditioning art of pole dancing and now serves as an instructor for beginner and intermediate level students. Her previous background in bellydance instruction makes the transition to teaching pole dancing easy and Alexis looks forward to remaining consistent with her dedication to the art of dance.

After seeing the bellydancers at the Lubbock Meals on Wheels Mardi Gras fundraiser for years, Theresa decided to ask about classes. Motivated by a weight loss challenge at her work, she began classes and has never looked back. Since then Theresa has embraced the spirit of the dance, and with a little encouragement from Cheryl (more of a push) she has become an accomplished dancer. She has always tried to step up and out of the box. Always looking ahead, Theresa has grown by leaps and bounds. Her new experience is teaching and she is working with Cheryl to learn how to breakdown movements. "It is still a lot of fun and a great workout."
