…I have now lost a total of 9.5lbs. Each week really does get easier. I enjoy the belly dancing class and the body shaker class, they are a lot of fun…The best part of all of this is seeing the changes in my body….Thanks for everything." -- Theresa (after 6 weeks of classes)
I have thoroughly enjoyed the few weeks that I have been attending these classes. Not having any experience with dance at all, I was very nervous about trying it. However, with the patience and kindness shown to us as we learn, it has been a great experience.
And since the class is filled with all different shapes and sizes and everyone is focusing on their own progress I don’t feel as uncomfortable as I expected. I am falling in love with the dance and I can’t wait to get to the next class when one class ends. Thank you! Reginah
When I was asked by a friend if I'd like to join her in belly dance lessons, my response was "Would I ever!" After taking classes at Tribal Rhythm for just a couple of weeks I caught the fever. I am now in the middle of a move, and hate to leave this class behind. I am worried I won't find another instructor that is as high quality as Cheryl. She is an incredible find in the middle of our little city! -SueAnn
I joined Tribal Rhythm four years ago and have loved being a part of it. I not only love the beauty of the dance itself, but the strong sense of community is very supportive as well. Cheryl has taught me so much about how to be comfortable with my body as well as body awareness. It is an honor to learn from her as she has unique skills and talent that are difficult to find in the dancing community. I truly think the Tribal Rhythm experience is multifaceted from the dance instruction to the friendships formed and I look forward to many more years of Bellydancing. -alexis
The thing that gets me about belly dancing is that in spite of being a cardio and strength training work-out all in one, each movement remains an art form. Always. But what I appreciate most, that thing that really does it for me beyond the growing self-confidence and the peeking ab muscles (which I never thought I would have!) is definitely the community of women involved with Tribal Rhythm: from the international to the Texan (with some local Lubbockites thrown in), the grandmother to the daughter, even the couch potato (me) to the rhythmically-challenged, all our diversities center around the dance; you'll find every single one of us in Cheryl's studio, and that's why I keep going back. -Nimi
