Cultural Dance Exchange 2008 Show
March 8, 2008 - 7:30 PM at the Lubbock International Cultural Center
The Tribal Rhythm Dance Studio is hosting the first International Cultural Dance Exchange show on March 8th, 2008. For the first time in history, West Texas will be presented with Egyptian Folkloric dances such as the Tahtib (a men's dance that incorporates traditional stick fighting with an aesthetic flair), the assaya (a women's cane dance that playfully imitates the men's dance), and a Khaleeji (a dance of the Persian Gulf and Saudi Arabia that focuses on the hair and shoulders).
